Are you curious about trying Aikido or just exploring martial arts in general? This 6-week introductory course is the perfect way to experience Aikido and our dojo, with no previous experience required. Whether you’re looking for physical fitness, mental focus, or just a fun new challenge, you will be very welcome in our dojo.
Course Overview:
In this course, you’ll learn:
- Basic Aikido Techniques – Start with foundational movements and self-defense techniques.
- Safe Ways to Practice – Learn how to get to the mat safely and practice with others.
- Introduction to Aikido Principles – Gain a deeper understanding of the philosophy and principles behind this peaceful martial art.
This course is taught by Ania Small, 6th-degree black belt in Aikido and one of the chief instructors at Aikido of Maine.
